New Poem “Pumpkin Picking”

Pumpkin Picking

Let’s go pumpkin picking
In the fields where the cornstalks lie.
With the jiggle of the old gate latch
The gate begins to swings wide.
With fear in our eyes,
We step inside.

With the full moon that shines bright
In the creepy night sky,
We search for monsters that creep about.
Ghosts and goblins, vampires and mummies
Searching for goodies to fill their tummies tonight.

We gather up all our pumpkins,
On this Halloween night,
Frightened as could be,
With the sight and sounds.
We run back to the house
To carve out the scary pumpkin faces.
To place on our porch,
For all to see
This scary Halloween night.
